Lost in classics

Ahem, ok, lately I'm reading classics and I do have to bug you with a few reactions:

1.) Les Miserables is awesome despite a six chapter thesis about sewers being inserted at the climax of the book. Can't say I understand that artistic choice though.

2.) That the Bronte Sisters are compared to Jane Austen is and always will remain blasphemy on Austen.

3.) Catherine from Wuthering Heights reminds me a lot of Gollum. Though I still think he's more likeable. But at least she's in equally dull male company in her own book.
