Sleepy Hollow
I only saw the first episode so far, but I get what you are all talking about. It's fun. Total crack with the headless horseman with the shotgun and all that George Washington's bible stuff.

But the characters work so well. Ichabod and Abby are so likeable and funny together. The show really works where it counts. I think I will stick with it.

Watched shield before and I am still meh about it. They tried to give the characters more depth this episode but mostly they still feel so stereotype and the actors can't pull the dialog of properly. In Sleepy Hollow by comparison things really flew and felt fresh instead of the 10th reheating of the same concept.

There's something to be said for fun. :)

It reminds me a bit of Doctor Who. You've got to just go with a ridiculous premise and a complete disregard for history. But, if you're in the right mood and in the right mindset (and have a sense of humor) it can be terribly fun.

Sorry for replying so late, but yes, ever since I read this, I compare them and there are deffinitely similarities. Especially with adding people to the supernatural boat.

I love that the elusive headless horseman was dragged and chained in the fake sun, so that no who saw him could rely deny it anymore.

It is fun! It's nice to be excited about a show again, especially after my recent re-acquaintance with the comics.

I believe you. I sold all the comics I had and bought better ones with the money.

I highly recommend "The Unwritten" if you feel like good comics after your paper is done. (I always feel like comics after writing papers, although mine are usually about finding inhibitors for this and that crazy new enzyme).
